Content Policy
Effective Date: 1 April 2025 ยท Last Updated: 28 April 2026
This Content Policy governs all user-generated content published on the SALUFA platform, including listing photographs, descriptions, reviews, messages, and any other content submitted by buyers, sellers, or visitors. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service and applies to all registered users of the platform.
1. Listing Content Standards
All listing content must be accurate, honest, and directly relevant to the livestock being offered for sale. Sellers must not:
- Use photographs of animals other than those being sold
- Misrepresent the age, weight, breed, health status, or physical condition of any livestock
- Use digitally edited, filtered, or AI-generated images that misrepresent the animal's true appearance
- Copy or reproduce descriptions or photographs from other listings or third-party sources without authorisation
- Include personal contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles) within listing content in order to circumvent platform transactions
2. Prohibited Content
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and potential account suspension or termination:
- Illegal listings: Stolen livestock, animals obtained through illegal means, or protected species
- Animal cruelty: Any content depicting the abuse, neglect, or inhumane treatment of animals
- Fraudulent documentation: False health certifications, fabricated breed registrations, or altered veterinary records
- Hate speech or discrimination: Content targeting any individual or group based on race, gender, religion, or any other protected characteristic
- Spam or duplicate listings: Multiple listings created for the same animals in order to manipulate search results or platform visibility
- Off-platform solicitation: Actively directing users away from SALUFA to complete transactions outside the platform
3. Photographs and Media
All photographs submitted to the platform must be original images taken by the seller and must depict the actual livestock being listed. Video content must similarly represent the specific animals available for sale and must not exceed 30 seconds in duration.
A minimum of one clear photograph per listing is required. Images that are blurry, insufficiently lit, or that fail to clearly depict the animal may be flagged during the verification process and the listing may be withheld pending resubmission.
4. Reviews and Ratings
All reviews submitted on the platform must reflect the reviewer's honest and genuine experience of the transaction. Reviews may not:
- Contain personal attacks, insults, or any form of harassment directed at the other party
- Include false, defamatory, or unsubstantiated statements
- Be submitted by sellers regarding their own listings, or by associated parties with the intention of manipulating ratings
- Contain personal contact details or links to external websites or platforms
SALUFA reserves the right to remove reviews that violate this policy. Sellers may respond to reviews through the platform's designated response feature but may not use that mechanism to harass or intimidate reviewers.
5. Messaging and Communications
The SALUFA messaging system is provided for transaction-related communication between buyers and sellers. Messages must not contain:
- Spam, phishing links, or content designed to install or distribute malware
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, or abusive language
- Solicitations to complete transactions outside of the SALUFA platform
- Third-party personal data shared without the explicit consent of the data subject
6. Content Moderation
SALUFA employs a combination of automated AI content scanning and manual administrative review to enforce this policy. Content identified as potentially violating this policy will be reviewed by the administrative team. Where content is removed, users will be notified to the extent practicable. Repeated violations will result in the accumulation of strikes and may lead to account suspension or permanent termination.
To report content that you believe violates this policy, please contact the SALUFA support team via the in-app Help Center or email Amaqhawe SA Technologies (Pty) Ltd (trading as AMQ Digital) at support@amqdigital.com.
7. Intellectual Property
Users must not post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. This includes, without limitation, copyrighted images, trademarked breed names used in a misleading manner, or plagiarised listing descriptions. Refer to our Intellectual Property Policy for comprehensive details.
This Content Policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, account strikes, suspension, or permanent termination.
